Hey,
So yesterday was my first day of work. I got up got ready took an early bus got there went to get my hair cut which was awesome only 14$ (in my hometown i'd pay 20$). Than I go to my locker to get stuff so I can get changed I grab my clothes than go into the change room. Well I saw the guys one and the one to the left of it the door was open so I just walked in not looking at the door. TURNS OUT that that room was the guys changeroom and the room next door was the guys bathroom so I was in there not knowing that it was the guys change room and it was early so no one was in there.. so I'm gettin dressed than I'm ready to leave (there are mirrors all over the walls so you can see around the corner) and I see guys there and I'm like umm isn't this the girls change room (to myself) than I start to walk out I see another guy (this is pg rated I didn't see anyone naked) and I'm like oh man what do I do.. so right ahead of me I saw a door so I ran for it that was the bathroom part ran out of the bathroom and into the main area and I was like ohhhhhhhh crap.. so I dont know where the girls change room is to change out I used the bathrooms to change out of costume.

So my trainer finaly finds me apparently I was suppose to be there at 9 (but they said 10 on my schdule) so they changed the ttime and didn't tell me so I wasn't in trouble but I was at cast services at 9 just not ready to go. So than we walk out she shows me around a little than we get in count money to get ready for the day. Than we go to a meeting where I got to go and introduce myself and say hi to the other people there early in the morning. The meeting was just with Canada, UK and France accroding to Clyde the BEST part of showcase.

So I didn't have my boots yet.. because no one told me what exactly to get so I wore my running shoes thinkin that would be cool apparently they weren't happy that a the laces didn't match (I do that to bug people) and b they were kinda pink but they really shouldn't complain because I didn't have a proper discription of what I needed.

Anyway I did some paperwork and set up my cashier number etc my trainer went thru many different rules and stuff to do in different situations and I talked to some guest I felt kinda insecure about where everything was so I didn't want to tell anyone...I did know some stuff but not know everything. I watched her do some transactions and I learned all about the promotions and stuff it wasn't crazy eventful and we went for lunch and went to the cart

omg at lunch I had peanut butter pie I soo love that about the states mmmmmm peanut butter in pie.

working out at the cart was fun, it was kinda funny because this old guy came up to me and was kinda in my face and was like I used to live in Oakville and he had popcorn on his face so it was kinda hard not to laugh.. although it was cool that he was from oakville, he also said he lived close to Sheridan which was also awesome.

The last bit was we got to do a tour and I got to see the new version of oh canada it was super awesome, I loved it!!!!!!!!!! Martin Short was quite funny!

So not long after I was done I caught the bus back to cast services got my check and took the bus to the commons. From there I walked to an outlet mall it was kinda weird I was there and I waslike am I inside or am I outside... so anyway I got a pair of boots for around 70$ (also got some polish so I can keep em lookin nice) My cell wasn't workin so I was really annoyed and lookin for a cell phone place but there was none!!! I was pretty mad about that. I went to starbucks and saw the new stuff a nd I got something for my mom for her birthday.. dont want to write it here incase she reads this...probably not though because shes really busy. so I made it hope (after gettin lost in the mall) around 7:30ish maybe 8 I dont know... Hayley was getting ready to go out to Pleasure Island which was cool. I just went on the computer than took a shower.. I waas waitin to hear from Chris...TURNS OUT that he was just bout as tierd as me so he went right to bed and once I heard that from him I went to bed too...

so now I'm up and startin work today at 2:45 which is an odd time in my opinion but whatever I'm not done till 10:45 so it may be a bit of a long day, it doesn't look like I have a day off for at leasst 7 days (they are pretty short on people)
I'm really excited to finish training and be able to do stuff by myself (although it may be easier to screw up that way) but at least I will get A LOT more interaction with the guests.
In merchintainment they said as merch people we get the most exposer to the guests... only thing I was wondering is do we need protection?
